How to play

  1. Read the sentence. One side agrees, the other side disagrees.
  2. Choose 2–3 reasons from your column. You can add your own.
  3. Take turns. Use a frame from the bar above to answer your partner.
  4. After two minutes, swap sides and try the other column.

For the teacher

Pairs with the I Love Football opinion survey — same eight statements, same order. Put the "Talk like this" bar on the board, or print and cut each card so groups argue one statement at a time. For mixed levels, assign the weaker speaker the Agree column (shorter clauses) first, then swap. To extend: students rank the eight statements from "most true" to "least true" and defend their top choice.
